JULY 2012 PASSENGER NUMBERS ANNOUNCED
MISSOULA, MT. (August 27, 2012). Recently released Operations Reports for July, 2012, indicate that
Missoula International Airport has set an all-time one month’s enplanement record of 37,885
passengers. This number surpasses the previous record (36,082) set in August, 2009, and
represents a 7.4% increase over July, 2011. The total number of passengers through MSO in July,
2012, was 76,804.
Cris Jensen, Airport Director, stated “We are grateful to our customers for choosing Missoula
International Airport for their flights and we welcomed July’s numbers.” Jensen added, “Our team
works hard every day to ensure the safety of our passengers and to make their air travel a more
enjoyable experience.”
Air Service is slightly ahead of 2011, a record-breaking year at MSO. As of July 30, 2012,
334,315 passengers have flown in and out of Missoula as compared to 332,900 during the same time
period in 2011. Airport staff is continuing to focus on attracting new air service for the
community.
Four airlines, Alaska, Allegiant, Delta, and United, have operations at Missoula International
Airport. Nonstop flights are offered to eleven major markets (Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los
Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Oakland, Phoenix-Mesa, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and
