TOTAL PASSENGER NUMBERS UP FOR MSO
2011 Year-to-date Totals reflect a 2% Increase over 2010
MISSOULA, MT. (April 22, 2011). Recently published statistics through March, 2011 indicate
a 2% increase year-to-date as compared to the same time period in 2010. 2010, a banner year for Missoula International Airport, presented all-time record passenger numbers as compared to previous years. The total number of passengers flying in and out of Missoula as of March 31, 2011 was 116,422 as compared to 114,309 for the same time period in 2010.
“We believe the total passenger numbers are a good indicator of the upcoming year,” said Cris Jensen, Airport Director. Jensen added, "We’re very pleased to have added a tenth nonstop destination (Portland) for the summer months but we always look ahead. We’re always striving to add new air service and more destinations. "
Currently four airlines, Alaska/Horizon, Delta, United, and Allegiant, have operations at the Missoula International Airport. Nonstop flights are offered to ten destinations; Alaska Air recently added a direct flight from Missoula to Portland, Oregon. For more information, visit www.flymissoula.com.
