Missoula International Airport is a 3,600-acre commercial service airport served by seven airlines and three air cargo carriers. In 2006, over 549,000 passengers passed through our terminal, with 2007 being yet another record breaking year. MSO's Director, Cris Jensen, is responsible for the overall management of activities under the jurisdiction of the Authority. Prior to assuming his position in 2005, Cris held the position of Airport Director in Elko, Nevada. Cris received a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ. Mr. Jensen is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives and holds a Private Pilot's certificate.

Formed in 1977, the Missoula County Airport Authority (MCAA) is an independent, public agency that owns and operates Missoula International Airport at Johnson-Bell Field. The Authority is responsible for the day-to-day operation and long-term planning for the airport. Much like a private corporation, the Authority is self-funded and derives operating revenue from a variety of user fees and Passenger Facility Charges.

It is the responsibility of the Missoula County Airport Authority to operate, maintain, improve, expand and manage Missoula International Airport for the safety, convenience, and benefit of the public and economic development of the community. In furtherance of this mission, the Authority shall seek both aviation and non-aviation business and industry to utilize the land, services and facilities located at the airport, and shall manage the airport resources in a prudent, lawful, community-conscious and fiscally responsible manner
