Telephones and Free Wi-Fi Internet Service
Public Payphones Payphones are located throughout the terminal building, including a bank of phones near baggage claim.
Courtesy Telephones A Courtesy Phone Center is located next to the Rental Car Center accross from baggage claim. Direct phone service is available for rental cars, area hotels, the University of Montana, the Airport Shuttler, and Yellow Cab.
Free Wireless Internet Service Missoula International Airport provides free wireless Internet service throughout the main passenger terminal, allowing you to stay connected to your home, family, and office. For more information, click here.
Telephone Calling Cards Long distance telephone calling cards are available near most public payphones throughout the terminal.
Terminal Paging If you would like to have an individual or traveling group paged, please contact your airline.
Emergency Assistance Uniformed officers of the Missoula International Airport Public Safety Department maintain a presence inside and outside of the terminal. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need assistance or wish to communicate with the authorities. In case of a serious emergencies, dial 911 from any of the pay phones located throughout the terminal.
Finding Your Way Around the Terminal
ATM Machines Automatic Teller machines are located on the main level of the passenger terminal near the restaurant.
Automated External Defibrilators The Missoula International Airport Public Safety Department is equipped with AED’s. All of our officers are first responders and are trained on the AED, as well as some of our building and field support people.
Baggage Carts Missoula International Airport offers rental carts, called Smarte Carts, located on the main level of the terminal available for your convienience. Cost is $1.00.
Special Baggage Handling If you have baggage that will require special handling, kindly let your airline know about it prior to your arrival at the airport.
Elevators Elevators are available between the main level and the upper level departure gates of the terminal just past the security screening checkpoint. An elevator is also available in the new west terminal addition.
Ground Transportation Rental cars and ground transportation are available on the main level of the passenger terminal. Shuttles and taxis are available by direct line using the Courtesy Phone Center located accross from baggage claim.
Airport Lost and Found If it's believed an item was lost at the Airport, individuals are asked to contact Airport Lost & Found at 406-728-4381 during regular business hours. Lost & Found handles many items each month. To help us search for your item we will need to know the following information:
• As many details as possible about the lost item • When you believe your item was lost • Where you believe you last saw your item.
US Mail, Postal Service A US Postal Service drop box is located on the main level of the passenger terminal in the hallway between the main lobby and the Airport Restaurant.
Pets and Animals Missoula International Airport does not permit pets on the premises unless they are in an enclosed animal carrier. Working animals accompanying disabled persons are, of course, permitted.
Police, Fire, and Medical Assistance The Airport Public Safety Department handles medical emergencies. To call for assistance, dial (406) 728-4381. Officers will arrange for paramedics or ambulance response as required. You may also request medical assistance by dialing 911.
Cigarette Smoking Smoking is not permitted within the passenger terminal. There is a designated enclosed smoking section available in the Airport Restaurant and Lounge. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of all Airport entrances.
Time Zone Missoula is located in the Mountain Time Zone. We are two hours behind New York or Miami, and one hour ahead of Los Angeles or Seattle. For more information about time zones, click here.
Vending Machines Snacks and soft drinks are available from vending machines located in the corridor next to ticketing, and near baggage claim.
Wheelchair Assistance Your airline will be happy to arrange for wheelchair assistance. Please contact your airline in advance.

Flight Information Displays Flight information electronic displays are available throughout the terminal complex, including near baggage claim and at each airline ticket counter.
Security Wait Times Passengers may on occasion experience long lines at the security checkpoints due to new screening procedures. These lines vary according to the time of day. To view MSO's average security wait times, please click here.
When to Arrive at the Airport Most carriers recommend that passengers arrive 90 minutes before their flights, although actual wait times vary by carrier and time of day.
